At DSI London, sustainability is woven into everything we do—from our commitment to local production and ethical sourcing, to minimising waste and maximising longevity.
We believe that simplicity is not only beautiful but also sustainable. By producing all garments in-house, based on demand, we avoid excess stock and ensure that every piece is crafted with purpose. Our local workforce reflects our dedication to supporting our community, providing secure, skilled employment in South London.
Our approach to sustainability includes:
• Zero-waste cutting techniques to optimise fabric use and reduce offcuts
• Reusing fabric offcuts for sample production, ensuring minimal waste
• Long-lasting garments, with DSI dresses and tail suits still performing years after production
• High-quality, ethically sourced materials, predominantly from Europe and Japan
• Eco-friendly DSI Glue, developed in-house as a safe, non-toxic alternative for rhinestone application
Whenever possible, we personally assess or carefully vet our suppliers to ensure they follow ethical labour practices and produce to the highest standards.
Sustainability at DSI London means creating costumes that are not only stunning but responsible, supporting both people and the planet.
