Shaded fabrics are always in trend and sheen chiffon is very suited for any sort of horizontal shading. While we offer a few shaded variations from stock, we can always produce new combinations for a minimum quantity commitment.

Feel fabulous in horizontal shadings of DSI dance fabrics. The most common shading is the horizontal shade, often referred to as Ombre, featuring a smooth colour graduation across the width of the fabric.  The most dramatic colour combinations are achieved by combining contrasting and polarising colours, most evident in our black horizontal shades. To achieve a perfect colour match, we send an original DSI georgette roll and ask the printer to use a darker colour graduation over half of the roll, so we combine a lighter colour with a darker print.

While we normally opt for contrasting eye catching vivid colour combinations, we opt occasionally for a romantic look, often achieved by having white DSI georgette rolls being overprinted by a another best matching colour print. Shaded georgette is ideally suited for the skirts and floats of Ballroom dresses. While above colours are from stock, we can create any colour combination for a minimum quantity of one roll.

Shading in fabric is a trend that is here to stay. The Charmeuse shaded dance fabric is ideal for ladies dresses or menswear as it has a four-way stretch.  Its light but opaque qualities make it wonderful for mens Latin shirts and tops. Charmeuse drapes beautifully and is a perfect choice for Ballroom and Latin dresses along with show costumes.

While shades are traditionally horizontal  in our industry,  there are also other options of shades avaiilable, This variation resembles a wave, hence the name wave shaded and is applied on a truly luxurious glittery base fabric.
