What a spectacle the show was at the weekend; with ghosts, ghouls, witches and monsters galore, it was so much fun creating such individual looks for the dancers last week!
Vicky Gill excelled yet again with fantastic designs all round. It truly was one not to be missed.
With a mummy dancing a very characteristic samba, a dramatic waltz by Maleficent and Harry Potter dancing the Paso Doble, the superb costumes completely finished off the whole extravaganza.
Even the judges joined in the fun recreating the “Addams Family”.
As worn by Anita Rani
Anita’s Halloween special waltz was inspired by the Hollywood movie, Maleficent.
Derived from the story of Sleeping Beauty it was fitting that she danced to “Once Upon a Dream”.
To create her dark revengeful character in her costume, Vicky Gill used Zircon green and black to embody her.
The leotard was made of Zircon Crepe with a black Mesh overlay for that dark witch like feel.
The full length circular skirt was made from black Stiff net finished with Black 5ply ostrich Feather boa.
It has to be however, the black Coque feather detail on the neckline that makes this dress so fitting and memorable.
The perfect detail to capture the theme of the character.
As worn by Carol Kirkwood
Carol’s rumba dress reflected the Halloween theme in a perfectly yet subtle way on Saturday night.
Playing the part of Frankenstein’s monster with style.
Dressed in a white crepe leotard, the dress was finished with tones of black, silver and white Tactel Fringe pieces for the skirt.
These colour combinations working perfectly together were then replicated in the Shaded georgette floats from the shoulders, and again in the stoning detail which featured a mix of Labrador and Crystal AB Rhinestones.
This dress was very soft, elegant and lovely to see on the screen.
