It’s difficult to pick a highlight from this year’s Blackpool Dance Festival, which concluded on Friday last week, as there were so many! But we’re going to try…
First, DSI London had not one but two brilliant events on its stand this year, with Ballroom stars Andrea Ghigiarelli and Sara Andracchio joining us for a very special party on Monday 28th celebrating their upcoming practice wear range, which will launch in September.
Then, on Wednesday 30th, many of the biggest stars in Latin popped by to purchase a copy of Barbara Nagode Ambrož’s brilliant Back to the Roots, which is published by DSI London and out NOW! Don’t miss your chance to get hold of a copy. Click here.
On the dance floor, our DSI Elite Performers and sponsored dancers did us proud, as always. In the Amateur Ballroom, we had two DSI London couples in the semi-finals, with superstars Igor Reznik and Mariia Polishchuk, from Ukraine, coming fourth, and Poland’s Michal Le and Sandra Jablonska being placed seventh.
In the Professional Ballroom, DSI Elite Performers Stanislav Zelianin and Irina Cherepanova, from Russia, were placed a brilliant eighth and in the Professional Latin DSI’s Gunnar Gunnarsson, with his fabulous partner Marika Doshoris, from England, reached most of the semi-finals.
Last but by no means least, England’s Glenn-Richard Boyce and Cäroly Jänes came fourth in the Under 21 Ballroom. Huge congratulations to all of you! And don’t forget – if you missed any of Blackpool, it’s all there waiting for you on the DSI TV Re-Live Livestream! Whether you want to watch your favourite dancers again or have another look at your own performance, have another look on DSI TV or pre-order our Blackpool 2018 DVDS.
