The Battle of the Ballroom!

DSI London is very excited to introduce a brand new concept which is the first of its kind this autumn. The world's first EVER Battle of the Ballroom will debut in Trinity Park Ipswich on 14th October and YOU, the audience, get to have your say!

With a £1,500 prize fund, this thrilling new concept will be both sponsored and filmed LIVE by DSI. The opponents and dances will be chosen by random selection before couples take to the floor and go head to head in a battle-style dance-off. It all depends on the luck of the draw – like the World Cup, anything could happen!

The three judges – one technical judge, one celebrity judge, plus the audience in Ipswich and at home (via an app) – choose their favourite of the two pairs and the couple that wins the vote lives to dance another dance-off. The knockout process continues until we have a winning pair.

Both the qualifiers and the finals will be held in Ipswich on 14th October – with just eight adult couples and eight Under 16 partnerships going through to the finals.

The event will be hosted by Robin Windsor and Emma Hawley, with the concept by DSI London, in association with Gerald Schwanzer and Emma Hawley.
