It's Movie Week! We have to say, this is one of our favourite weeks here at DSI London. For this week Vicky Gill artfully combined iconic Movie characters with Balllroom and Latin flair for a full cast of show stopping looks. We were spoilt for choice for what to feature in this week's blog. After much deliberation we have picked two of our favourites, Laura's ultra gorgeous dress for her Moulin Rouge inspired Salsa and the delightful playsuit Claudia wore for her Charleston.
Laura looked gorgeous in her Moulin Rouge show girl inspired dress for her salsa. The dress features a fully rhinestoned Tan body complete with jewellery stones and glistening drop beads. The look has plenty of va-va-voom given by the iconic coral ostrich feathers at the back. Making a statement for the lift entrance, Vicky incorporated a removable top skirt of long ostrich feather boas.
We are in love with Claudia's playsuit for her Bugsy Malone themed Charleston! It perfectly balanced the movie character, the necessities and feel of the dance whilst also incorporating fashion and dance trends. The look featured Pale turquoise stretch satin shorts and coordinating floaty Pale Turquoise sleeves. The floral inspired wrap top was decorated by hand with White Opal rhinestones and flat black pearls. Lycra piping swirled and decorated with pearls gave a three-dimensional embellishment for the neckline. The same mixture of multiple pearl sizes and tones, half back pearls and white opal rhinestones richly embellished the waistline.
