NATD Mission Statement & Core Values

At the NATD, we take pride in our reputation as a friendly and welcoming teaching association. Our mission is to make dancing accessible to everyone, fostering an inclusive environment that embraces modernisation and the use of technology for the benefit of our members. As we continue to grow in both Ballroom and Latin, as well as through our theatrical branches, we are committed to driving our industry forward and offering more opportunities for our members and future dancers.

We have developed our own technique books to solidify our unique identity, and we are working on projects with other organisations to adopt our books. Additionally, we are proud to offer examinations for people of all abilities including the visually impaired, demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity and embracing all dancers.

We believe that dancing provides not only joy but also a future for many. Whether individuals aspire to perform on stage and film, excel as competitors, or become exceptional professionals and teachers, we are dedicated to providing the tools and support they need to achieve their dreams.

For over a century, the NATD has served the dancing community, and our presence has grown internationally with members in Asia, the Americas, and beyond. Our willingness to learn and evolve ensures our continued growth and success.
