Fresh music for 2018

DSI has THREE new albums which could rejuvenate your dance practice in the new year: Ballroom Indimenticabile, Latin Great Energy and Ballroom Memories.

“Indimenticabile” in Italian means unforgettable, which is the perfect word for this sumptuously romantic album from NDMI, played by Olivato Dancesport Orchestra.

Setting the tone for Ballroom Indimenticabile, the first nine tracks are beautiful waltzes, including the title track and A Time for Us from Romeo and Juliet, but the 24-track album covers all five ballroom dances. So, too, does Ballroom Memories, featuring 24 nostalgic songs from stage and screen. (Look out for the gorgeous Mia and Sebastian’s Theme from last year’s Oscar-winning La La Land and, for something completely different, the fierce tango Poker Face.)

Finally, for a change of pace, Latin Great Energy is another album from NDMI with music by Olivato Dancesport Orchestra. As you might expect, this is a high-energy party album with a balanced mix of both vocal and instrumental tracks.

Although all five Latin dances are included, 13 of the 24 tracks are for the samba, so this is the perfect one for you if the samba is your favourite – or if it needs a little improving!
