DSI’s Rising Stars at the GOC

Huge congratulations to DSI sponsored dancers Sean Smullen and Aimie Leak, who triumphed at the German Open Championships in Stuttgart last week, claiming the silver medal in the Rising Star Professional Ballroom on 9 August, as well as being placed 13th the previous day in the WDSF PD Super Grand Prix.

Aimie said: “We are both so proud to be the first Irish couple EVER to bring home a silver medal at the biggest WDSF competition!!! Thank you so much to the best ever sponsors DSI London and Ray Rose. Thank you so much also to everyone from Ireland who screamed and lived the moment with us.”

Sean added: “To see the Irish flag flying for the first time in the 31-year history of the GOC was emotional to say the least. A real dream came true for us. We felt a million dollars in the best dress and tails on the dance floor thanks to DSI London.”

Another DSI partnership triumphing at the German Open was that of Glenn Richard Boyce and Cäroly Jänes, who came fifth in the Youth 10-Dance Championship, after recently moving up from the Junior category. What a brilliant start. Congratulations to you both.
