Allir Geta Dansað, the Icelandic version of Dancing with the Stars, concluded on Sunday 6th May with DSI London’s dresses getting one last spin around the floor. The winners of Iceland’s very first series, Eurovision singer Jóhanna Guðrún and pro dancer Max Petrov, were absolutely thrilled with the result, with Max falling to his knees and punching the sky. Ten couples started the competition – as always, with a celebrity paired with a professional dancer – but only four made the final that took place on 6th May. In the final, everyone danced twice – one dance they had danced before and a new one. Jóhanna and Max danced their paso doble again and took on the samba, which won them a perfect score of all tens from the judges. “I really did not expect this,” said Jóhanna at her win. At DSI London, we are always very proud to be involved with different versions of the show and we were thrilled to bring our expertise to the Icelandic version.
