British Dance Project

Tickets are available now for the first and new project of Paul Killick and Julie Tomkins. The British Dance Project is an inclusive training day for everyone wanting to improve their dancing skills and knowledge which will be recorded for posterity on DSI TV and later available to subscribers.

Whether you’re a teacher, social dancer or competitor, the British Dance Project is for you. The day will take place at the Walsall Town Hall on Sunday, 1st September, costing £45 per person for entry.

Doors open at 10am and the first lecture begins at 10.30am, “Preparing for Exams” by Julie Tomkins.

Next up, at 11am, is Viktoriya Wilton’s “An Introduction to the Smooth Style”, followed by “Developing Natural Figures” by Jack Beale at 11.30am and a 45-minute lecture by Alison Fulham at midday – “My Favourite Groups in Cha Cha”.

Light refreshment will be served at 12.45pm for lunch, which will be followed, at 1.30pm, by Paul Killick’s own lecture, “Being Best Prepared for a Competition.”

Next up, at 2pm, is Latin legend Joanna Leunis on “Samba Rhythms”, followed by another Latin star, Lorna Lee, at 2.30pm on “Arms”.

The last lecture of the day will be Warren Bullock at 3.15pm on “Appropriate Choreography for the Transition from Juvenile to Junior”.

A farewell drinks party at 4pm will round this fabulous day off. Please note: everyone is welcome to participate, a reservation is not needed and payment can be made on the door.
