Blackpool: Saturday
On Saturday, the final day of the British National Dance Championships, Ellie Beacock made her debut as a new DSI Elite Performer. We’re like to give Ellie a very warm welcome to the DSI family.
She and her partner, DSI Elite Performer, Luke Miller, came fourth in the British Amateur Latin Championships. Ellie wore a Tan Mesh dress with our luxury Ostrich 5 ply feather boa in Tangerine. Her outfit was spectacularly stoned in Sun, Hyacinth and Citrine flat-backs with accents of Tangerine Lycra creating a stunning flame effect. Luke wore a couture jacket-style shirt with a Tangerine pocket square to complement Ellie’s dress
We had not one, but two DSI couples excelling in this top championship, with Lloyd Perry and Rebecca Scott in second place. Lloyd wore a couture wrap-around shirt in Black Crepe trimmed with Velvet. Rebecca wore a Tan Crepe dress with a Black fringe skirt with black detail on the body and embellishment in Jet flat-backs and sew-ons.
Glenn-Richard Boyce and Cäroly Jänes also excelled again in the British National Under 21 Ballroom Championship, coming second in this prestigious event. Cäroly wore a stunning Black couture dress with a White skirt and a Black Georgette overlay, embellished heavily in Crystal AB flat-backs.
Our younger dancers also had a wonderful year at the British National Dance Championships. DSI’s Francis Carty and Kerry Sui won both the British National Juvenile Ballroom Championship and the British National Juvenile Latin Championship, with Max Draper and Olivia King coming second in both events and, amazingly, two other DSI Elite Performers Nathan Storey and Olivia Smorga placed third in both events. The final victory on Saturday was won by DSI Elite Performer Ella Perry and her partner, Kristofer Ponomarenko, who won the British National Junior Latin Championship, triumphing in all five dances.
Ella sparkled in a Tan Mesh couture dress stoned in Crystal AB, Light Colorado Topaz and Aurum flat-backs and heavily beaded with Gold bugle beads.
