Over the summer, we will be looking back at the achievements of our fabulous DSI Elite Performers at Blackpool Dance Festival this year.

First up are superstars Igor Reznik and Mariia Polishchuk, DSI Elite Performers since January 2017, who came fourth in the British Open Amateur Ballroom this year. Watch them in action here!

We are proud to report that, as well as dancing beautifully, Igor and Mariia looked stunning on the Empress Ballroom floor too. For the earlier rounds of the Amateur Ballroom, Mariia wore a striking dress in Lime-Black shaded georgette with a satin underlay and embellished with Jet sew-on stones in a mixture of sizes, as well as Crystal AB, Peridot AB and Citrine and Citrine AB rhinestones, to complement the brilliant shade of the Lime.

For the final, she changed into an exquisite asymmetric gown in Peppermint-White shaded georgette with a satin underlay and elegant embellishments in White Opal, Crystal, Crystal AB and White Pearl rhinestones.

Igor and Mariia enjoy working closely with the team at DSI. “All the colours and fabrics are beautiful and it’s always a headache to choose which one,” Mariia says. “But the team of designers help me.”

At number four in the world, the brilliant pair are not far from the top, but as they say themselves: “We are young, we can do much more.” Watch this space!
