As the team at DSI work round the clock to prepare for the extravaganza that is Musicals Week, there’s just about a moment to reflect back, cup of tea in hand, on last week’s highlights...

With her stunning looks, Mollie King is a dream for Vicky Gill to dress and her dazzling gown last week brought a ray of sunshine to a quickstep to Umbrella.

Mollie's stunning bodice sparkled with an array of rhinestones, in strong triangular patterns like sunbeams, with Crystal AB on the neckline and Light Topaz, Topaz, Sun and Jonquil on the bodice.

Multiple Twinkle underskirts and a top skirt in Sunrise Satin panels with Sunrise Pearl Chiffon godets enhanced the movement in this irresistibly sunny costume.

In very different colours, but just as stylish, Alexandra Burke’s slinky Rumba dress was another one with a richly embellished bodice, featuring Crystal AB, Hyacinth, Aquamarine, Brown Flare and Light Colorado Topaz.

Last week sadly saw the exit of the much-loved Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton. After very moving speeches, they performed one of the best last dances ever.

Of course, there’s no telling who will go next week as we get closer and closer to the final, but one thing we can be sure of… the costumes will be spectacular.
