Huge congratulations to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, deserving winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2018! What a fab-u-lous year it’s been.
“It has been a fantastic series and the final did not disappoint,” agrees costume designer Vicky Gill.
“The opening number saw the celebs wearing dresses of Metallic Fringe applied in a chevron pattern. A different neckline was created for each of the female celebs and the pros enjoyed the return of their red-carpet dresses, which was a treat. We very quickly forget about all the hard work and fabulousness that goes into the beginning of the series, so it was nice to see them again.
“The showdance frocks were fun, too,” adds Vicky. “From a beaded two-piece to a metallic lyrical number and show-stopping golden ballroom glamour.”
Of course, the last episode also featured the brilliant group dance, featuring all the eliminated pros and celebrities.
Again it was the last chance to see the celebrities’ red-carpet frocks,” points out Vicky. “With the pros in multi-coloured dresses to link with all our celeb colours: Red, Sunrise, Turquoise, Pink, Silver and Gold Fringe.”
“Lots of fun was had by all,” she concludes. “What a great year.”
