And the winner is…

To mark the conclusion of Strictly Come Dancing, we asked you to name your favourite dress from the 2017 series for the chance to hire a Strictly dress for the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who entered – we loved reading all your answers – but, unfortunately, there could only be one winner and our very favourite entry was written by Claire Hatfield.

Claire wrote: “Picking a favourite dress from Strictly Come Dancing is never going to be an easy task but I would have to say that my favourite design from 2017 would have to be Mollie King's dress when she danced the waltz with AJ to Angel.”

Ingeniously, Claire used an acrostic of the word “Strictly” to pick out all her favourite details in the dress, which we loved:

Swarovski and lots of it!

Turquoise shades which were so delicate and suited the nature of the dance

Ribbon sewn around the bottom of the skirt that glistened in the light

Intricate bands of rhinestones around the bodice

Cut-out back of the dress was so elegant

Tulle which helped the skirt to move beautifully

Low waist design which accentuates Mollie’s amazing figure

Y wouldn't you love this dress? I would think that most girls at some point dream of being a princess and this dress had so many beautiful qualities to it.
